Terry Thompson was an Air Force pilot and commander, a church staff pastor, and is now a university professor--probably not the person you would imagine to advocate a bold new strategy for the war on cancer. But, when Terry lost his wife to cancer in 2001, he began a quest to research every aspect of cancer treatment.
"When Terry lost his wife to cancer in 2001, he began a quest to research every aspect of cancer treatment."
His efforts revealed what many in medical science and practice consider to be the real hope of defeating cancer, but what few others are aware of. His new book, A New Strategy for the War on Cancer, released in 2011, is the first book of its kind written for the general public.
The Foreword is by David Rosenthal, M.D., Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Medical Director of the Zakim Institute of Integrative Therapies at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and former president of the American Cancer Society. Terry coordinated with Dr. Rosenthal and several other doctors and researchers in the writing of his book.
