Susan G. Komen Losses from the Planned Parenthood Debacle and Politics

on Monday, 07 May 2012. Posted in May 2012, Uncategorized

I am distressed when anything stifles any pursuit of raising funds to fight cancer. More resources are always needed for treatment, research, education, and preventive measures. Granted, I have been critical in my writings regarding the priorities of Komen, National Cancer Institute, American Cancer Society, and other funding agencies, but I have consistently maintained that all anti-cancer efforts deserve to be supported. Unfortunately, when these agencies grow into huge institutions, decisions on how they spend their millions become of interest to the media and politicians who pounce on any misstep.  Such is the present predicament with Komen as thousands of former supporters jump ship.

An Essential Read for a Kind Deed

Why is reading the book, A New Strategy for the War on Cancer, so essential to your well-being?

If you are an American woman, you have 1 in 3 odds of having cancer in your lifetime. If you are an American man, your odds are 1 in 2. If you don’t beat those odds, you’re in for the most debilitating treatment of any disease in this country. The same basic conventional treatment—chemo, radiation, and surgery—hasn’t changed much in 50 years, and it is having limited success.  Only 8% fewer victims are dying from cancer now than 50 years ago. Almost 100% of all cancer patients experience all the awful side effects of the treatment, and about 40% of them die while being treated.

My new book, A New Strategy for the War on Cancer explains in plain language the emerging, scientifically proven option of natural, non-toxic complementary therapies that many leading American oncologists are using to enhance conventional therapies, reduce their harmful side effects, and increase survivability. This book is endorsed by numerous physicians including a prominent Harvard professor of medicine and the former president of the American Cancer Society. It is credible, legitimate, and provides all the information you need to make the right choices when you or a loved one is diagnosed with cancer. Now, for a limited time, you can get your own personalized copy signed by the author. Learn how below.
