A New Strategy for the War on Cancer was birthed from a passion of the author to lead a movement away from the dysfunctional cancer treatment strategy that has changed relatively little in decades. The author,Terry Thompson, had the tragic first-hand experience of conventional cancer treatment. His wife of 33 years contracted breast cancer in spite of her very healthy life style. Three agonizing years of treatment at local and national level cancer centers culminated with a desperation trip to doctors in Mexico for treatments unavailable (some illegal) in the U.S. After his Connie's death, Terry established a public foundation in her memory, the Connie Thompson Foundation, to fund research into new options for cancer treatment. Please visit the Foundation's website at: http://cancerchoices.org. You can become a regular reader of Terry's blog at that site.
Terry has an unquenchable drive to rescue his own and future generations from the clutches of cancer and the ravages of what is presently the sole accepted treatment for it. He has lived it, learned it, fought it and taught it. He has been reshaped by it and is now determined to reshape it. He is convinced that implementing this new strategy will require the awareness and support of a broad constituency of the general public. He is equally certain that it will never happen without the consensus of the established medical science community. Generating this awareness, attention, and support from a broad spectrum of the populous is the object of A New Strategy for the War on Cancer. The book is key to expanding minds and enlisting volunteers for what has become an obsession for the author.
Our society is weary of this war. Really, can any rational adult not be interested in a legitimate book that promises a new strategy for cancer treatment that works? To this end, the author is dedicated.
